Spring Clean With a Carpet Refresh

Spring is right around the corner! Can you hear the birds singing and the sunshine warming up? We don’t know what it is about Springtime, that makes us come alive, but if you’re anything like us, all of this extra pep in our step has us wanting to do a whole house clean! Are you with us? For the rest of March we’ll be sharing a fun DIY recipe to help you Spring clean your home and breathe new life into your spaces and today we’re kicking it off with a super simple, nontoxic carpet refresh! 

 

Our carpets have survived a long winter season of wear and tear with muddy boots, snowy shoes, and just general neglect in the cold months and ours are begging for a refresh! Enjoy this super simple, super effective recipes that will have your carpets looking and smelling like Spring in no time! 

 

What you’ll need: 

  • 4-6oz. Glass jar
  • Thieves EO
  • Purification EO
  • Baking Soda

 

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Fill your glass jar with baking soda.
  2. Add 10 drops of Thieves EO and 10 drops Purification EO.
  3. Shake to mix. 
  4. Sprinkle over carpets. 
  5. Let sit for 30 minutes. 
  6. Vacuum up for a clean, fresh facelift! 

 

It seriously is the easiest, most cost-effective way to give your carpets a non-toxic clean in a matter of minutes. It’s honestly so easy to whip up and apply that you don’t have to wait for Spring cleaning to give this recipe a try. You could easily make it a part of your monthly cleaning routine to have fresh carpets all year round!
