Give Thanks and Relax

Pretty sure we all can agree that even in a year like 2020, we still have much to be grateful for. In addition, we’re almost positive we all could use some rest and relaxation after a year like this one. Can we get an amen!? From carrying incredible workloads and managing alllll the feelings (both high and low), what do you say to ending the year with some much-deserved rest on the top of our to-do list?

If you’re with us (and we sure hope you are!), here is our favorite bath bomb recipe to help you relax, renew, and give thanks for slowing down + putting ourselves first. So go ahead and start the water, grab a good book, pour yourself a favorite drink, and whip up this super quick and easy recipe to help you melt away into a season of gratefulness!

  • 1 cup Baking Soda
  • ¾ cup Citric Acid
  • ¾ cup epsom salts (unscented)
  • 4 tablespoons fractionated coconut oil
  • 15 drops of your favorite essential oil
  • bowls for mixing
  • 2” bath bomb molds (or large silicone ice cube trays work too!)

  1. Combine the baking soda, citric acid, and epsom salts in a medium bowl. You may need to use a fork to break up any clumps.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the fractionated coconut oil with your essential oil(s) of choice. Here are a few of our favorites: White Angelica, Sacred Mountain, Valor, Stress Away, Peace and Calming, Gentle Baby, Christmas Spirit (because why not get festive with your relaxation!?), Lavender, and Frankincense
  3. SLOWLY add the coconut oil mixture to the baking soda mixture so the ingredients don’t activate too soon before everything is combined. Note: If it feels a little dry, slowly spray on some water with a spray bottle to moisten it up.
  4. Once a have sand-like mixture is achieved, fill both sides of your mold and firmly press them together.
  5. Remove the bath bomb from the mold and let it dry overnight.
  6. Once your bath bomb is fully dried, drop it in a hot tub and give thanks for this easy pampering recipe!
